Grand Gulf is a nuclear power plant located in Port Gibson, Mississippi, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 1399.5 MW, it plays a significant role in the energy landscape of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator power control area. The plant is operated by System Energy Resources, which is also its majority owner, under the umbrella of Entergy Corporation. As an unregulated facility, Grand Gulf primarily supplies power to Entergy Arkansas, utilizing nuclear fuel to generate electricity efficiently and sustainably.
