Geddes 1 Solar is a solar power facility located in Freeland, Michigan, operating under the ReliabilityFirst Corporation NERC region. With an operating capacity of 2 MW, the plant utilizes solar technology to harness energy from the sun. It is part of the Midcontinent Independent System Operator power control area and is operated by Geddes 1 Solar. The facility is unregulated and is majority-owned by Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, which also serves as the owner holding company. The primary power purchaser for Geddes 1 Solar is Consumers Energy Company.
