The GDIM 2 solar power facility, located in North Smithfield, Rhode Island, operates under the jurisdiction of the Northeast Power Coordinating Council. With an operating capacity of 9.6 megawatts, this unregulated plant harnesses solar energy to contribute to the regional power grid. The facility is managed by Green Development, which also holds majority ownership through its parent company. As part of the ISO New England power control area, GDIM 2 plays a vital role in promoting renewable energy solutions within the region, utilizing the sun as its primary fuel source.
