The Fusion Solar Center, located in Baltic, Connecticut, operates within the Northeast Power Coordinating Council and utilizes solar technology to generate an operating capacity of 20 MW. As an unregulated facility, it is managed by the Fusion Solar Center and is primarily owned by D E Shaw Renewable Investments through its holding company, DESRI. The plant harnesses solar energy, with The United Illuminating Company serving as its primary power purchaser.
