Freestone Energy Center, located in Fairfield, Texas, operates within the Texas Reliability Entity (NERC Region) and is a state-of-the-art combined cycle power plant with an operating capacity of 1,095.2 MW. The facility is part of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) power control area and is managed by Freestone Power Generation. As an unregulated entity, the plant is primarily owned by Calpine Generating Company, under the holding company ECP ControlCo. Additionally, Rayburn Country Electric Cooperative is also a co-owner of the power plant.
