Fort Dodge is a steam turbine power plant located in Dodge City, Kansas, with an operating capacity of 148.8 MW. It is part of the Midwest Reliability Organization and operates within the Southwest Power Pool power control area. The plant is unregulated and is operated by Sunflower Electric Power Corporation, which also serves as its owner holding company. The majority ownership is held by Mid-Kansas Electric Company INC. The facility primarily utilizes gas as its fuel source and is connected to the Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline.
