The Fore River Generating Station, located in North Weymouth, Massachusetts, operates under the Northeast Power Coordinating Council. This combined cycle power plant boasts an operating capacity of 790 MW and is managed by Calpine Corporation, which is also its majority owner. The facility is unregulated and primarily utilizes natural gas as its fuel source, receiving gas through the Algonquin Gas Transmission pipeline. It serves the ISO New England power control area, although it does not have a primary power purchaser. The plant is part of ECP ControlCo’s holdings.
