Foothill is a hydraulic turbine power generation facility located in Granada Hills, California, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) region. The plant operates with a capacity of 8.6 megawatts and is under the jurisdiction of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP), which serves as both the plant operator and majority owner. The facility is regulated and utilizes water as its primary fuel source, contributing to the sustainable energy portfolio of the LADWP. As part of the Power Control Area managed by LADWP, Foothill plays a vital role in supporting the energy needs of the Los Angeles region.
