The Fairmont facility, located in Fairmont, Minnesota, operates under the jurisdiction of the Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) and is a key asset within the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) power control area. This plant utilizes internal combustion technology and has an operating capacity of 26 megawatts (MW). The facility is regulated and is wholly owned by the Southern Minnesota Municipal Power Agency, which also serves as the plant operator.
