Extreme San Ignacio is a state-of-the-art fuel cell power generation facility located in San Jose, California. Operating under the jurisdiction of the California Independent System Operator, this plant boasts an operating capacity of 1 megawatt. As part of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council, Extreme San Ignacio contributes to the region’s energy landscape with its innovative technology. The facility is operated and wholly owned by Bloom Energy Corporation, which also serves as its majority owner and holding company. The plant utilizes gas as its primary fuel source and currently operates in an unregulated environment, allowing for flexibility and responsiveness to market demands.
