El Dorado Refinery, located in El Dorado, Kansas, operates under the jurisdiction of the Midwest Reliability Organization within the Southwest Power Pool power control area. Utilizing integrated gasification technology, the facility has an operating capacity of 38 megawatts. The plant is managed by Frontier El Dorado Refining and is classified as unregulated. HF Sinclair Corporation serves as both the majority owner and the holding company, with the refinery primarily utilizing gas as its fuel source.
