El Cabo Wind is a wind turbine facility located in Encino, New Mexico, with an operating capacity of 298 MW. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council and operates within the California Independent System Operator’s power control area. The plant is unregulated and is operated by El Cabo Wind, with Avangrid Renewables as the majority owner, part of the Iberdrola SA holding company. The primary fuel source for the plant is wind, and its electricity is primarily purchased by Southern California Edison Company.
