Denison is a hydraulic turbine power generation facility located in Denison, Texas, within the Midwest Reliability Organization (MRO) NERC region. The plant operates with a capacity of 100 megawatts and is integrated into the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) power control area. The facility is managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USCE) – Tulsa District, which serves as both the plant operator and majority owner. As an unregulated entity, Denison operates independently within the energy market, utilizing water as its primary fuel source for electricity generation. The ownership structure is consolidated under the USCE – Tulsa District, ensuring a streamlined operational and regulatory framework.
