The Crosswind Energy Project, located in Ruthven, Iowa, is a wind turbine facility with an operating capacity of 21 MW. Situated within the Midwest Reliability Organization’s NERC region, this unregulated plant is operated by Clearway Energy Group, which also holds majority ownership. The project harnesses wind as its primary fuel source and supplies power to the Southwest Power Pool. The primary power purchaser for the energy generated is Corn Belt Power Cooperative, ensuring a reliable distribution of renewable energy in the region.
