The Coolidge Generation Station, located in Coolidge, Arizona, operates under the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (NERC Region) and utilizes gas turbine technology to generate an operating capacity of 572.4 MW. Managed by the Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District, the plant is unregulated and primarily fueled by natural gas sourced from the Transwestern Pipeline Company. As the majority owner and operator, the Salt River Project Agricultural Improvement and Power District plays a crucial role in the local power control area, although it does not have a primary power purchaser.
