Coats Solar Farm is a solar energy facility located in Coats, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 4.9 MW, the plant harnesses the power of the sun to generate renewable energy. It is operated by Pine Gate Holdings and is unregulated, providing flexibility in its operations. The majority ownership lies with Cypress Creek Renewables, under the holding company EQT Infrastructure V. The primary power purchaser for the energy produced is Duke Energy Progress, which plays a key role in the local power control area.
