Chopin Wind is a wind turbine facility located in Athena, Oregon, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) region. With an operating capacity of 10 MW, the plant harnesses wind energy to generate electricity. It is operated by BayWa re Wind and is unregulated, with BayWa Aktiengesellschaft serving as both the majority owner and holding company. The primary power purchaser for the facility is PacifiCorp, which integrates the renewable energy produced into its power control area, PacifiCorp E+W.
