Cheney Solar is a solar power facility located in Cheney, Kansas, operating under the Midwest Reliability Organization (NERC Region). With an operating capacity of 1 megawatt, the plant harnesses solar energy to contribute to the regional power grid. It is situated within the Southwest Power Pool’s power control area, ensuring efficient integration into the broader energy market. The facility is operated by Today’s Power, which also holds the majority ownership, under the umbrella of the Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation. As an unregulated entity, Cheney Solar focuses on maximizing the utilization of solar fuel to deliver sustainable energy solutions.
