Chaves County Solar II is a solar power facility located in Roswell, New Mexico, with an operating capacity of 30 megawatts (MW). The plant is situated within the Midwest Reliability Organization (NERC Region) and operates under the jurisdiction of the Southwest Power Pool. As an unregulated facility, Chaves County Solar II is managed by NextEra Energy Resources, which also holds the majority ownership of the plant. The facility harnesses solar energy, utilizing the sun as its primary fuel source, and is part of NextEra Energy’s broader portfolio of renewable energy assets.
