CED Foster is a solar power facility located in Foster, Rhode Island, operating under the jurisdiction of the Northeast Power Coordinating Council (NERC). With an operating capacity of 2 megawatts (MW), the plant contributes to the energy needs of the ISO New England power control area. The facility is managed by Consolidated Edison Development, which also serves as the majority owner. The ownership structure is further supported by RWE Aktiengesellschaft, the holding company. As an unregulated entity, CED Foster harnesses solar energy, utilizing the sun as its primary fuel source, to deliver sustainable power solutions in the region.
