Catawba Solar is a solar power facility located in Salisbury, North Carolina, operating under the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 2 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is managed by Catawba Solar, which also holds majority ownership of the facility. As an unregulated plant, Catawba Solar primarily sells its generated power to Duke Energy Carolinas, contributing to the local energy grid while utilizing the renewable fuel source of sunlight.
