Carville Energy is a combined cycle power plant located in Saint Gabriel, Louisiana, operating under the SERC Reliability Corporation. With an impressive operating capacity of 541 MW, the facility utilizes natural gas as its primary fuel source. As an unregulated plant, Carville Energy is managed by Carville Energy and is majority-owned by Argo Infrastructure Partners, under the holding company Argo Partners. The plant plays a crucial role in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO) power control area, supplying electricity primarily to Entergy Louisiana.
