Carolina Lily Solar is a solar power facility located in Advance, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 5 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is operated by Carolina Lily Solar and is unregulated, providing flexibility in its operations. The majority owner is TransAlta Renewables, a subsidiary of TransAlta Corporation, which oversees the ownership of the facility. The primary power purchaser for the energy produced is Duke Energy Carolinas, ensuring a reliable market for the electricity generated from the sun.
