Carol Jean Solar is a solar power facility located in Walnut Cove, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 4 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is operated by Carol Jean Solar and is unregulated, allowing for flexible operational practices. The majority ownership lies with Cypress Creek Renewables, under the holding company EQT Infrastructure V. The primary power purchaser for the energy produced is Duke Energy Carolinas, which plays a key role in the local power control area.
