Capella Community Solar is a solar power facility located in Pipestone, Minnesota, within the Midwest Reliability Organization region. With an operating capacity of 4.5 MW, the plant harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. It is managed by BHE Renewables, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, which holds the majority ownership of the facility. The plant operates in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area and is classified as unregulated. The primary power purchaser for the energy produced is Northern States Power Company, ensuring a reliable distribution of solar-generated electricity to the grid.
