Canaday is a steam turbine power generation facility located in Lexington, Nebraska, operating under the regulatory oversight of the Midwest Reliability Organization. With an operating capacity of 99.3 megawatts, the plant plays a vital role in the Southwest Power Pool’s power control area. The facility is owned and operated by the Nebraska Public Power District, which holds the majority ownership and is also the parent company. Utilizing gas as its primary fuel source, Canaday is committed to delivering reliable energy while adhering to regulatory standards.
