Caballero is a state-of-the-art battery energy storage facility located in Nipomo, California, operating under the jurisdiction of the California Independent System Operator. With an operating capacity of 100 MW, the plant plays a crucial role in enhancing grid reliability and supporting renewable energy integration within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council region. The facility is managed by Alpha Omega Power, which holds the majority ownership, alongside Fengate Capital Management as an additional stakeholder. As an unregulated entity, Caballero is positioned to leverage market opportunities while contributing to the advancement of energy storage solutions in the region. Other owners of the power plant include Fengate Capital Management.
