Burksol Energy Storage is a state-of-the-art battery energy storage facility located in McAdoo, Texas, within the Texas Reliability Entity (NERC Region). With an operating capacity of 100 MW, the plant plays a crucial role in enhancing grid reliability and supporting the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) power control area. The facility is operated by Smarttia Spain SLU and is classified as unregulated, allowing for flexible operational strategies. The majority ownership is held by esVolta, which also serves as the owner holding company. Burksol Energy Storage utilizes advanced energy storage technology to provide efficient and reliable energy solutions, contributing to the overall stability and sustainability of the Texas energy market.
