The Broken Bow Dam, located in Eagletown, Oklahoma, operates under the jurisdiction of the Midwest Reliability Organization. This facility utilizes hydraulic turbine technology to achieve an operating capacity of 115 megawatts. It is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USCE) – Tulsa District, which serves as both the majority owner and holding company. The dam is part of the Southwestern Power Administration’s power control area and is classified as unregulated, allowing for flexible operational strategies. The primary fuel source for the plant is water, harnessed to generate renewable energy efficiently.
