Brighter Future Solar is a solar power plant located in Granite Falls, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 11 MW, the facility harnesses the sun’s energy to generate electricity. The plant is operated by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America and is unregulated, allowing for flexible operational practices. The majority ownership lies with Osaka Gas USA Corporation, a subsidiary of Osaka Gas Co. The primary power purchaser for the energy produced is Blue Ridge Electric Membership Corporation, ensuring that the clean energy generated contributes to the local power grid.
