Brazos Bend BESS is a state-of-the-art battery energy storage system located in Rosenberg, Texas, within the Texas Reliability Entity (NERC Region). With an operating capacity of 100 MW, this facility plays a crucial role in enhancing grid stability and supporting renewable energy integration in the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) power control area. The plant is operated by Cypress Creek Renewables, a leader in the renewable energy sector, and is unregulated, allowing for flexible operational strategies. The majority ownership of the facility lies with Cypress Creek Renewables, under the holding company EQT Infrastructure V. As a dedicated energy storage solution, Brazos Bend BESS contributes significantly to the advancement of sustainable energy practices in the region.
