Boysen is a hydraulic turbine power generation facility located in Riverton, Wyoming, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) region. The plant operates with a capacity of 17.2 megawatts and is part of the WAPA Colorado-Missouri Region’s power control area. The facility is operated by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, which also holds majority ownership and serves as the owner holding company. As an unregulated entity, Boysen utilizes water as its primary fuel source, contributing to the region’s renewable energy portfolio.
