Bonanza

Bonanza is a coal-fired power plant located in Vernal, Utah, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) region. The facility operates with a steam turbine technology and has an operating capacity of 458 megawatts (MW). It is managed by Deseret Generation and Transmission Cooperative, which also serves as the majority owner and holding company. The plant operates under a regulated status and is part of the PacifiCorp E+W power control area. Additionally, the Utah Municipal Power Agency holds ownership stakes in the plant.
