Bluegrass Generating Station is a gas turbine power plant located in La Grange, Kentucky, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 567 MW, it plays a significant role in the PJM Interconnection power control area. The plant is operated by Bluegrass Generation Company and is regulated under state guidelines. The majority ownership lies with East Kentucky Power Cooperative, which also serves as the owner holding company. The facility primarily utilizes gas as its fuel source, sourcing it from the Texas Gas Transmission pipeline.
