Blue Summit Wind is a wind turbine facility located in Vernon, Texas, within the Texas Reliability Entity (NERC Region). With an operating capacity of 139.8 MW, the plant contributes to the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) power control area. The facility is operated by ESI Energy, which is also the majority owner, under the holding company NextEra Energy. As an unregulated plant, Blue Summit Wind harnesses wind as its primary fuel source, supplying power primarily to Iron Mountain Incorporated.
