Blue Star is a solar power plant located in Massey, Maryland, within the ReliabilityFirst Corporation NERC region. With an operating capacity of 7.5 MW, it contributes to the PJM Interconnection power control area. The plant is operated and majority-owned by Greenbacker Renewable Energy Company, which also serves as its holding company. As an unregulated facility, Blue Star harnesses solar energy to generate electricity, primarily supplying power to Washington College.
