Big Creek 4 is a hydraulic turbine power generation facility located in Auberry, California, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) region. The plant operates with a capacity of 100 megawatts and is integrated into the California Independent System Operator (CAISO) power control area. Southern California Edison Company serves as both the plant operator and the majority owner, with Edison International as the owner holding company. The facility is regulated and utilizes water as its primary fuel source, contributing to the region’s renewable energy portfolio.
