Big Cliff is a hydraulic turbine power generation facility located in Detroit, Oregon, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) region. The plant operates with a capacity of 21 megawatts and is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – North Pacific Division. It falls under the jurisdiction of the Bonneville Power Administration’s power control area. As an unregulated facility, Big Cliff is primarily owned and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – North Pacific Division, utilizing water as its fuel source to generate electricity.
