Beetle Solar is a solar power plant located in Mooresboro, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. With an operating capacity of 4 MW, the facility harnesses solar energy to generate electricity. The plant is operated by Beetle Solar and is unregulated, providing flexibility in its operations. The majority ownership lies with Cypress Creek Renewables, under the holding company EQT Infrastructure V. The primary power purchaser for the energy produced is Duke Energy Carolinas, which plays a key role in the local power control area.
