Beaumont BESS is a state-of-the-art battery energy storage facility located in Beaumont, California, operating under the jurisdiction of the California Independent System Operator. With an operating capacity of 100 MW, this facility plays a crucial role in enhancing grid reliability and supporting renewable energy integration within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council region. The plant is managed by Terra-Gen, which also holds the majority ownership, alongside its parent company, ECP continuation fund. Beaumont BESS operates in an unregulated environment, allowing for flexible operational strategies to meet market demands. Other owners of the power plant include Terra-Gen.
