Bayou Cove Peaking Power is a gas turbine power plant located in Jennings, Louisiana, operating under the jurisdiction of the SERC Reliability Corporation. With an operating capacity of 320 megawatts, the facility plays a crucial role in the Midcontinent Independent System Operator’s power control area. The plant is regulated and operated by Cleco Cajun, ensuring compliance with industry standards and reliability requirements. The majority ownership of Bayou Cove is held by Atlas Capital Resources IV, which also serves as the owner holding company. Additionally, the City of Alexandria, Louisiana, is recognized as another owner of the power plant.
