Barber Dam is a hydraulic turbine power plant located in Boise, Idaho, within the Western Electricity Coordinating Council region. With an operating capacity of 4 MW, it harnesses the energy of water to generate electricity. The plant is operated by Central Rivers Power and is unregulated, making it a unique asset in the energy landscape. Central Rivers Power is also the majority owner, under the holding company Hull Street Energy. The primary power purchaser for the electricity generated at Barber Dam is Idaho Power Company, which plays a key role in the local power control area.
