The Apalachicola solar power plant, located in Hephzibah, Georgia, operates under the SERC Reliability Corporation region with a capacity of 2.5 MW. This unregulated facility harnesses solar energy, utilizing the sun as its primary fuel source. Brookfield Renewable Partners manages the plant, while Duke Energy Generation Services Holding Company holds the majority ownership, under the umbrella of Duke Energy Corporation. The primary power purchaser for the energy generated is Georgia Power Company, contributing to the region’s renewable energy landscape.
