Apalachia is a hydraulic turbine power generation facility located in Shoal Creek, North Carolina, within the SERC Reliability Corporation region. The plant operates with a capacity of 82.4 megawatts, utilizing water as its primary fuel source. The facility is managed by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), which serves as both the plant operator and majority owner.
