Allegheny Hydro No 8 is a hydraulic turbine power plant located in Templeton, Pennsylvania, within the Northeast Power Coordinating Council region. With an operating capacity of 13.6 MW, the facility is managed by FirstLight Power Resources, which is also its majority owner. The plant operates in an unregulated environment and utilizes water as its primary fuel source. Its power generation is integrated into the New York Independent System Operator’s control area, with New York State Electric & Gas Corporation serving as the primary power purchaser. The owner holding company is the Public Sector Pension Investment Board.
