Mary Landrieu Advocates for Natural Gas and Nuclear Power in Climate Strategy, Emphasizing an “All-of-the-Above” Approach.

Former U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu (D-La), a former senator, has stated that natural gas is not the enemy but is part of the solution to achieving both domestic and global climate goals. She highlighted the benefits of natural gas and its ability to replace coal as the number one producer of electricity in the country with wind and solar. Despite her stance against renewable energy, Landrieau believes in an “all-of-the-above” strategy. She also supports nuclear power, stating that more nuclear power could be added to the US. The Natural Allies Leadership Council co-chairs with Kendrick Meek, Michael Nutter, and Tim Ryan, who served in Congress from 2002 to 2010.
