House Subcommittee to Discuss Bill Aiming to Block Biden’s Wildlife Protection Plan Amid Controversy.

A House Natural Resources subcommittee is set to discuss legislation to block a controversial Biden administration plan to protect wildlife refuges. The bill, H.R. 8632, from Rep. Glenn Grothman (R-Wis), would block the Fish and Wildlife Service’s proposed “Biological Integrity, Diversity, and Environmental Health” rule, which has been controversial among ranchers, farmers, and sportsmen who fear it will lead to loss of grazing land and fewer hunting and fishing opportunities. The administration has cited climate change, among other challenges, as the reason for the new regulation.
