The Home Depot has partnered with Sunnova Energy International, becoming the sole provider of solar and energy storage for its customers in over 2,000 locations. The partnership expands previous collaboration between the two companies, which entered 100 Home Depot stores in Florida, Virginia, and Maryland in 2021 to provide customers with solar and home battery backup. In 2022, Sunnova expanded to Puerto Rico, where its solar and battery storage brand, SunSafe, was sold in all Home Depot locations. By 2023, the partnership will expand to about 400 stores and 15 markets nationwide.
