Talbot County Energy, identified by EIA Plant Code 7916, is a forthcoming energy project located in Box Springs, Georgia. Operated by Oglethorpe Power Corporation, the facility is designed to utilize gas turbine technology, with a total capacity of 240 megawatts. The primary fuel source for the project will be natural gas. As an unregulated entity, Talbot County Energy will operate within the Southern Company power control area. The project is anticipated to come online in 2029, marking a significant addition to the region’s energy infrastructure.
