The Shawnee photovoltaic project, identified by EIA Plant Code 1379, is a significant initiative operated by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA). Located in West Paducah, Kentucky, this unregulated project is set to harness solar energy, with a total capacity of 100 megawatts (MW). The project is strategically positioned within the TVA Power Control Area and is expected to come online in 2028. As a renewable energy source, the primary fuel for this project is sunlight, aligning with TVA’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions. The project is wholly owned by the Tennessee Valley Authority, ensuring a cohesive approach to its development and operation.
